IN JUPITER & ACROSS FL, CT, & NY

You’re ambitious about your career and pursuing the kind of excellence that requires insight, strategy, and a strong clinical foundation.

You care deeply about doing this work well. But at a certain point, caring and effort alone aren’t enough—especially when cases become complex, clients stop progressing, patient boundaries become blurred, or you start second-guessing your clinical decisions. Whether you’re still accruing hours or are already licensed, you’re realizing you need strategic support, clearer structure, and someone who can help you think differently.

Maybe you’re…

  • A psychology postdoc or LMHC in need of supervision hours, but who wants more than the bare minimum out of your supervision experience.
  • Feeling stuck with complex cases—dealing with addiction, resistance, or difficult family dynamics—and unsure what angle to try next.
  • Struggling to set clear boundaries with clients while still building confidence in your clinical decisions.
  • Unsure how to assess risk, determine when a higher level of care is appropriate, and confidently guide that transition.
  • Noticing strong countertransference reactions and wanting help understanding what to do with them.
  • Falling behind on documentation or still trying to develop efficient, professional workflow habits.
  • Feeling the pressure to grow as a clinician without burning out in the process.

Hi, I’m Dr. Darius Fathi, PsyD.

My goal is to help you think critically, operate ethically, and develop the kind of clinical discipline that supports long-term success in this field.

My passion, outside of clinical work, is helping other therapists (or therapists in training) grow personally and professionally. I’ve been supervising clinicians for over 10 years, including 9 years as a supervisor in an APA-accredited postdoctoral residency program. In that role, I worked closely with early-career psychologists navigating complex caseloads in both community mental health and outpatient settings. I’ve also supervised individual and group therapy, supported clinicians working with high-risk presentations, and provided specialty guidance in outpatient addiction treatment.

In addition to my supervision experience, I maintain a successful private-pay practice serving high-achieving teens, adults, and couples. I understand what it takes not only to provide strong clinical care, but to build a practice that is sustainable, ethical, and well-run. I’m also well-versed in telehealth best practices and have trained in CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy—approaches I draw from f lexibly depending on the case in front of us.

In our work together, we can…

  • Look at your cases from multiple theoretical angles so you’re not relying on just one lens or instinct.
  • Strengthen your case conceptualization by identifying root causes and aligning them with clear, effective treatment approaches.
  • Explore and work through countertransference so your reactions inform your work instead of interfering with it.
  • Develop practical, in-session tools and strategies you can apply immediately with challenging clients.
  • Build stronger documentation habits, clinical discipline, and professional workflows that support excellence.
  • Address burnout, boundaries, and the business side of psychology so you can maintain balance between growth as a clinician and self-care as a human.

Accelerate your growth with clinical support that goes above and beyond.

Great clinicians aren’t born—they’re developed through intentional work.

+ Substance Abuse & Addiction Treatment

I have specialized training in addiction treatment and have worked extensively with clients navigating alcohol and substance use concerns. My experience in working with addiction also includes developing a research-backed app designed to help people reduce alcohol intake. In supervision or consultation, we’ll focus on assessment, relapse patterns, motivation, abstinence-based versus harm reduction strategies, and determining when more intensive care is appropriate.

+ Sports & Performance Psychology

I work with high-achieving teens, adults, and athletes managing performance pressure, identity, and competitive stress. With specialty training in working with adolescents and a background in performance-focused clinical work, I help clinicians address mindset, emotional regulation, and the psychological demands that come with high standards and high visibility.

+ Telehealth Best Practices

As a former behavior director of a health center and long-time supervisor in an APA-accredited training program, I’ve supported clinicians in delivering structured, ethical care across settings—including virtual platforms. We’ll strengthen your ability to build engagement online, manage risk remotely, and maintain clinical rigor in telehealth environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

I work with psychology postdoc residents and LMHC interns who are accruing hours toward licensure. Most of the clinicians I supervise are motivated, growth-oriented, and serious about becoming highly skilled therapists—not just checking a box for hours. If you’re eager to sharpen your clinical thinking and build a strong foundation for private practice, we’ll likely be a good fit.

Yes. I work with licensed psychologists, counselors, psychiatry providers, and social workers who want support with complex or challenging cases. Consultation is ideal if you’re looking for a strategic sounding board, help refining your conceptualization, or a fresh perspective on cases that feel stuck.

Consultation is collaborative and advanced—you get ideas and guidance, but are fully responsible for your clinical decisions. If you’re already licensed and practicing independently, but you want deeper insight, accountability, or support, consultation is the right fit. In consultation, we focus on case strategy, countertransference, risk assessment, and refining your approach.

Supervision is for pre-licensed clinicians who are typically accruing licensure hours. With supervision, we’re doing more to establish fundamentals, to have your clinical decisions and documentation reviewed, and to lay a strong foundation for your career as a licensed clinician.

Absolutely. In addition to clinical skill-building, I help supervisees and consultation clients develop strong documentation habits, ethical workflows, and sustainable business practices. I maintain a successful private-pay practice myself, so I understand what it takes to build something both financially viable and clinically sound. If you want to learn how to operate at a high level—not just clinically, but professionally—we’ll work on that, too.

I frequently consult on complex presentations, including addiction, high-achieving professionals, adolescent cases with family dynamics, and clients who aren’t progressing despite consistent work. I also support clinicians navigating boundary challenges, burnout, and higher levels of care. If you’re feeling stuck or second-guessing your direction, we’ll clarify your next move together.

My supervision is structured, direct, and feedback-rich. We’ll look at your cases from multiple angles, strengthen your conceptualization skills, and develop practical strategies you can immediately apply in session. I’ll challenge you when needed, support you when things feel stuck, and help you build both confidence and competence. I want to do more than just help you get through your hours; I want to help you become exceptional at what you do.

Faster-moving cases, greater confidence in complex situations, reduced administrative anxiety, and clinicians who feel supported rather than drained.
