Are You And Your Partner Struggling To Be On The Same Page?
Do you feel like you’re growing apart from your spouse?
Lately, do you feel more like roommates than romantic partners?
Are you wondering if it’s even possible to move past the tension, avoidance, or conflict that’s settled into your relationship?
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to stay stuck.
Many couples find themselves caught in negative cycles, unsure how to reconnect, and uncertain about the future of their relationship. Maybe it’s constant arguments, name-calling, infidelity, or just that nagging feeling of emotional distance. Over time, these patterns can leave you holding onto pain, anger, and mistrust.
The good news? Things can get better.
Life is too short to stay unhappy in your relationship. You and your significant other deserve the time, support, and guidance to heal, recalibrate, and move forward together. As a licensed psychologist and experienced couples therapist, I’m here to help you do just that.
Just as you’d see a specialist for a physical injury, couples counseling can help you repair your relationship. In a supportive, non-judgmental space, you can rebuild your connection—reducing conflict, enhancing communication, and rediscovering intimacy. Together, we’ll work to replace tension and disconnection with fun, spontaneity, and closeness.
With the right support, your relationship can become a lasting source of joy—a place where you feel uplifted rather than weighed down.

How Can Couples Therapy Help?
We are often taught that love and chemistry are enough and enter relationships with high expectations. We imagine that once we find that special someone, all of our needs will be met for life. But relationships take intention, care, and tools we’re not always given.
In our busy, fast-paced world, it’s easy for couples to drift apart. The demands of work, parenting, and daily life often leave little time for nurturing intimacy. Many couples I work with feel more like ships passing in the night—emotionally checked out, stressed, and overwhelmed.
Sometimes, this disconnect leads to numbing behaviors like mindless scrolling, overworking, drinking, or even infidelity—temporary distractions from a deeper longing for connection.
But there is a path forward. It is possible to break unhealthy patterns and re-establish intimacy. Your relationship doesn’t have to feel like a constant struggle. Together, we’ll explore what’s not working, reconnect with your strengths, and create a more fulfilling partnership.
Why Choose Psych Fitness LLC?
At Psych Fitness LLC, I specialize in online couples therapy and see clients primarily in Connecticut, New York, and Florida. In-person sessions are also available at my office in Jupiter, FL.
Having worked with professionals and couples across the Northeast and South Florida, I’ve seen firsthand how beneficial early intervention can be. You don’t need to be at a breaking point to benefit from therapy. In fact, starting before things spiral out of control can make your journey to healing shorter and smoother.
In my practice, I welcome couples of all backgrounds, including LGBT+ clients. Whether you’re newly committed, navigating a long-term relationship, or somewhere in between, I’ll meet you where you are—with compassion, expertise, and tailored support.
What To Expect From Couples Therapy
We’ll begin with an initial consultation to ensure we’re a good fit and clarify your goals. If we decide to move forward, I’ll send you both questionnaires to help us understand your relationship’s history, strengths, and challenges.
In the first session, we will meet as a couple. Next, I’ll meet with each of you individually to get to know your personally and your relationship histories. Then we will resume joint sessions—where the real work happens.
Early sessions focus on:
- Identifying your relationship strengths
- Goal setting
- Understanding conflict patterns
- Creating safer, more productive ways to communicate
As therapy progresses, we’ll look at how past experiences may be influencing your current dynamic — and develop personalized strategies to foster deeper connection and collaboration.
My Approach
I take an integrative, top-down, and bottom-up approach to couples therapy.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps with practical communication and emotional regulation.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) helps uncover deeper emotional patterns and attachment wounds.
- Psychodynamic Therapy helps uncover how past childhood, family and early relationship factors are affecting the present.
Together, these methods offer a full-spectrum path to healing, helping you restore trust, safety, and love.
No matter what the future holds, couples counseling is an opportunity to make sure you have the tools you need to foster awareness and resolution. By building the path toward a happy, fulfilling life together, you can look ahead with confidence.
